Former Labour Mayor backs Nigel

A former Labour Mayor of Barking, Pat Manley, today urged Labour voters to switch to UKIP and back Nigel Farage in Bromley & Chislehurst.

Pat said, "I was an active trades unionist and a Labour Party member for 23 years but I can not support Blair. I was against the war in Iraq and left the Labour Party in disgust over the illegal invasion.

"When I heard Nigel speak about the war in Iraq earlier this year on TV, that made my mind up and I joined UKIP at once.

"I have met many senior MPs in my time and I know Nigel has the ability to serve the people of this constituency."

Pat was a Labour councillor for Barking and mayor in 2000.
